Gluten Sensitivity

Gluten is a protein compound found in food products like wheat, barley, rye etc.

Gluten sensitivity is a disorder which means that an individual reacts adversely to food intake rich in gluten. This allergy eventually leads to the inflammation and swelling of the internal lining of the small intestinal tract.

Gluten intolerance is one of the most common diseases. This intolerance or allergy affects the digestive system of the human body. The symptoms of gluten sensitivity include muscular disturbances, headaches, vertigo, cramps, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, depression and behavioral changes. There are certain biopsies and endoscopies that can identify if a person has gluten intolerance. The underlying symptoms caused by gluten sensitivity can simply be altered by taking gluten free diet.

There are some home based tests that can reveal if you are gluten sensitive or not; a proper gluten free diet can reveal the truth in a short period of time, i.e. 2-3 weeks. Avoiding 100% gluten containing food for one or two weeks could be another way of testing gluten sensitivity in a body. On the other hand, a chiropractic general physician can provide the initial care through focusing on the body joints. They don’t really prescribe you medications but they work with the doctors to cure the aches caused by the gluten intolerance.

With effective chiropractic treatments and gluten free diet, one can deal with the disorder of Gluten sensitivity effectively.
